1998 Chevy Shorty 4×4

I’ve always liked the looks of the 88 to 98 Chevy, short wheelbase, 4×4’s. I’m sure these will be considered a “classic” someday. So I set out to find one with minimal rust, and one that was factory black. Several months later I bought this one near Topeka, ordered the appropriate LMC catalog, and started fixing things and ordering things, and getting it ready for the paint shop. I stripped all the decals, emblems, and side moldings off with a heat gun and erasing wheel. After it was painted, I started putting things back together, including bigger 18″ wheels and tires. The wheels are off of a 2010 Chevy Z71, and seem to be a popular choice for these older pickups, and they bolt right on. Its fun to drive, and gets a lot of looks.
