1972 Chevy C20 – Thomas T.
Family owned since 72 Originally 2wd Camper special
Converted to 4×4 in early ’80s by a custom truck shop in California ,the vehicle stood in California as a daily till the mid ’90s. As a young kid growing up around it 4 wheeling, fishing, and beach cruising, I was hooked on the truck and knew it would be mine someday. I finally had my chance to get her and jumped at the opportunity. Myself and a bunch of buddies took one their trucks and a trailer and drove from Colorado to California to bring her home. Once I got home, I drove her around a few months and then decided to start the restoration. I stripped her all the was down and began the detailed and meticulous work of putting her back together. After of 3 solid years, she was back on the road. After relocating several years later, it was breaking my heart to see her parked outside and decided to trade my brother for a beautiful jet boat he had, so back to California she went. And long story short, she was rolled and I went back for her, and back to Colorado she came. So I started over with a New Stoked 565 BBC pushing 600 hp, and with some bodywork and paint, and some long overdue front end suspension work. She is done.
Now she is in travel again because I gave her to my son, who is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps, which he happens to be stationed in California.
