A True Survivor – the “F-1owner”

When I saw this one owner 1992 Ford F-150 on marketplace, I just knew I had to have it.  Living in Central NY, I was in the market for a nice 4×4 truck for the sometimes harsh winters.  My step father, who is also a car enthusiast of his own, spends his winters south.  The idea was to find a truck from the south and bring it north.  After weeks of searching, it was found.  There was only one slight problem, once it arrived I realized it was way to nice to drive in the snow and salt.  The decision to store this truck was an easy one.  This 1992 F-150 XLT 4×4 is what I would call almost original.  Other than a few new parts from routine maintenance and the hood and fenders having paint work done due to clear coat issues from the hot southern sun, this truck is fully original.  With a few dings and dents and just under 200,000 miles, its 5.7L 351ci motor starts with every turn of the key and purrs like a kitten.  When summer comes it’s not a very hard decision which vehicle I want to drive.  I love this truck and I’m happy to share my story with fellow F-150 enthusiasts.  Thank you LMC Truck for letting me put my truck and story in the spotlight.
