Dad’s Old Truck

Hi there my name is Cody S.  I live in Albany, Oregon.  My Dad owned this 1988 Chevy C2500 for the past 20 years and loved this truck like it was a brand new Silverado.  Our Family has had lots of memories in it over the years..and man did we use it as a truck!  Haha…  That being said, it was pretty darn beat up (but had zero rust) and sure had its fair share of dents.  Well about 12 years ago my Mom passed away and my Dad would just drive that truck around town and look so sad being without my Mom in it with him.  About 3 years ago my Dad died and I inherited the truck.  I kept racking my brain on what I wanted to do with the truck, and the first thing I did was get an LMC Truck magazine and boy did that help!  I started gathering parts when I could afford them here and there.  Now the truck sits in my little shop and I drive it here and there when the weather is nice.  I’m hoping my son (2) and Daughter (6) will drive it to school someday and think back and remember this was Grandpa’s truck.  My Dad sure would love seeing it today and would be so proud of me for fixing up his old “Work Truck”.  Thank you again guys for making this transformation easy as ever to find the right parts!  I’ll show a picture of the day I picked it up then a picture of how she sits today.
