1953 GMC 3100 – Jason D.
It all started in a small town in Alberta, Canada. The wife and I were out for a evening drive when we came across this old truck tucked away beside a house uncovered. I wanted to go knock on the door to ask a few questions about it but we agreed to go to the bank first to get money in case we could convince the owner to sell it. So we knocked on the door and introduced ourselves and asked about the history of this old truck. He said it has been in his family for years and that he was slowly picking away at bringing it back to life. I looked over the truck and asked if he would consider selling it, in which he replied “no” but he was hesitant with his answer so I threw out a number in which he again said no so I upped my offer a little more and it took him a few minutes but he finally agreed! We did the paperwork and did the exchange. I had a car hauler there to pick it up within a 1/2 hour. We placed our project in the middle of our garage and started tearing it down. Long story short… this was a great project due to the fact that we we’re going through a pandemic and lockdowns. We poured all our time into bringing the truck back to life and 15 months later we finally down to the last few small things to finish up!
