My great grandpa purchased the truck new in 1978, and it was a maroon color originally.  He used it to tow his 5th wheel camper down to Arizona for a few years until he passed away and my grandpa inherited it.  Throughout the late ’80s and ’90s, it was used during the summer to haul cattle to sale and to fair.  It was worked pretty hard throughout its time as a farm truck.  After my grandparents moved off of their farm, they were going to sell the truck and my mom decided to buy it from them.  As I was growing up, the truck was always there and was the first vehicle that I learned to drive.  I loved driving it around in the country with my dad when I was younger.  As I got older, the truck started to have more mechanical issues and I started to get an interest in classic vehicles.  During my junior and senior years of highschool, I was able to find a neighbor that was willing to help me restore this truck and learn the ins and outs of working on classic vehicles.  The restoration itself took around a year and a half, but I enjoyed every part of it and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!  I hope to keep this truck in my family and to keep it on the road for generations to come!
