I bought my 1964 Chevy C10 pickup in 1976 from the original owner. I was in college at the time, and it was a great vehicle for weekend activities like camping and inner-tubing in the local river or mountain snow areas.

I began a 30+ year teaching career in 1980. In the 80’s, students often commented I should get rid of the “junker” and get a new pickup. By the late 90’s, students thought it was cool and wanted to buy it if I ever wanted to sell. I often get waves and headlight flashes when driving – people recognize the pickup, not me!

I love driving my 64 Chevy with it’s decades of adventures and memories. It is original except for the engine and transmission which I’ve replaced with a 350 V8, and a 700R4 overdrive, both great improvements. I’ve also added a power brake booster. Someday, I may add the AC my wife wants! Thanks to LMC Truck for parts over the years and to Manuel’s Auto Body for the recent paint job.
