My Chevy Truck

My 3rd truck is a 1966 Chevrolet C20, Custom Camper, fleet side, long bed (original CA truck with black license plates), purchased from 2nd owner in September 2022. It is a work in progress. (Side view picture is prior to work being started) Truck came with a 350 cu in, 4 bolt main crate motor from 1968 (according to block numbers), Original 1966 TH400 with Corvette short tail housing, Factory Air and Deluxe Heater, Factory power assist steering. Work I have done so far includes; Repainted inside of cab. Replaced all insulation under dash and firewall, new firewall pad kit and new rubber floor mat. Replaced cab mount bushing kit and radiator core support bushing kit, Rebuilt transmission – Jan 23′ and added new upgraded driveshaft carrier bearing, new HD rear coil springs, new F&R shocks, new F&R rubber brake hoses, and F wheel brake cylinders. Cleaned R&L fuel saddle tanks and added new fuel sending unit in each tank, Cleaned main fuel tank & replaced sending unit, replaced main fuel tank cover, fuel inlet hose and steel fuel inlet, and added new steel locking fuel caps on all 3 fuel tanks, rebuilt the 3-way fuel distribution valve, new rubber fuel hose with new fuel filters on each tank and one before the Edelbrock carb., Edelbrock aluminum manifold, HEI distributor, Hooker headers, with 2-1/2″ exhaust pipe and Thrush quiet mufflers. Replaced or repaired all wiring harnesses and connectors (all wiring repairs were soldered with marine grade heat shrink) replaced all ground straps and added additional ones . Rebuilt the turn signal switch and added new ignition switch and keyed alike door locks. Replaced both door weather strips, window channels and scrapers. New windshield wiper heads. New outside square SS mirror heads and arms. New turn signal and tail lamp lenses, new glass headlamps with replaceable H4 bulbs. Replaced/upgraded A/C parts with new parts from Old Air Products; evaporator core, expansion valve, condenser, drier, binary switch, thermostatic switch, upgraded HD Aluminum Compressor, fabricated new compressor mount brackets to clear headers, new hard lines and hoses. New Aluminum 4 core radiator, Repaired the bench seat springs and added new burlap, seat foam and cotton batting with a new two tone white/gray seat cover along with (3) new gray seat belt kits, A new Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Electric Brake Controller module was installed and I replaced the trailer harness with new 7 pin and 4 pin receiver in one. I also added a new 2 5/16″ trailer ball on 7500lb plug in receiver. For tunes I added a Custom Autosound 200 watt radio with a Blaupunkt 1500 watt, 4 channel full range amp with 4 gauge wiring and fuse, mated with (2) 225 watt front and (2) 400watt rear speakers with12 gauge speaker wire. The truck rolls on New Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse LT 245-75/16 tires. I would like to thank LMC Truck for most all of the products I have used in the rebuilding and upgrading my truck, but since I’m not quite finished with it, I’m sure I will be purchasing more parts. Future Plans include: New R&L bedsides, R&L doorskins, Cab floor repair, Rear big window conversion, F&R 8-lug disc brake conversion kits, New steel wheels, Rebuild F suspension, exterior paint and body work, new bed floor using wood grain, composite deck material and refinish bed strips. New exterior moulding kit. (Change all chrome finishes to Cerakote finishes??)
