1979 GMC 1500 – Brian W.

I’m 62 years old and decided to relive my teenage years. I had a 1980 Chevy K10 when I was 19 years old. Lifted, 40in Ground Hawg tires, the bigger the better. My son and I decided to buy a 1979 GMC out of South Carolina and bring it back to Illinois to our shop and rebuild it. First was the body, sandblasted down, new paint, 6 inches lift, 36 IROC tires, new interior and a lot of hours. A year after we brought it home, it was put on the road. This winter, it will get a new motor, trans and transfer case. It’s been a joy teaching my 20-year-old son how to do a restore. Thank you LMC…..you’re 80 percent of this project!
