1985 Chevy C20 – William H.
It’s midnight, and a feller can’t sleep… So what does one do? Get on Craigslist!
Happen stance, Ol’ Blue just posted 40 min. ago… Well I’ll be dipped, I did the right thing and messaged the man… Hey! I’ll buy the GM
Though could you give me until the week’s end to pick it up… He says sure… Awesome, I say…
So I pop over the mountain range from Dewey-Humboldt to Cottonwood, AZ on a Saturday morning, and there is Ol’ Blue…
Walked up to the gentlemen and he hands me a manila folder, on the TAB is Ol’ Blue… Know this truck was purchased initially by the U.S. Air Force. Spending the time at Williams Air Force Base in AZ… Then acquired through auction an40 A/C company from Cottonwood… The gentleman I purchased it from started his own outfit and purchased Ol’ Blue from his employer. Ol’ Blue was used to carry scrap metal and the heavy A/C units… Long story short, the feller kept his word to hold the GM for me (I’ve held off 40+calls on this rig). My reply: Thank you Sir, I’ll do right by Ol’Blue… Then, he went and bought a new riffle from the transaction. Hey? Win-Win… It’s been five years since that deal was made, and Ol’ Blue 6,000 lbs with the good Ol’ 305 small block! Man, we have some stories to tell…
