1971 Chevy C10 – Danny M.

1971 Chevrolet C10 Truck Build. Danny May.

After 5 long years of Customizing my 1971 Chevrolet C10 Stepside truck, I finally got an invitation to display it at The Ocean Reef Club Vintage Weekend December 3-5 2023 in Key Largo, Florida. This was the very first event since completion.
It’s a special “Invitation Only Show” featuring some of the finest and rare vehicles, boats and aircrafts in the world all on the same property.
After 3 days of events and judging, we received the “Best Muscle/Hot Rod” Award!
It all started in 2018, when I was told about an old Chevy C10 truck sitting inside a Barn in Eastern Indiana. It was disassembled many years earlier and needed a complete restoration. I was able to strike a deal with the owner and started the restoration that year.
As projects go… it changed directions a few times and in 2020, I decided to blend my Road Racing experience into the build and went down the Resto-Mod road. Slammed it down with Coil-Over Suspension, Giant Brakes, GM Crate Motor, Fuel Injection, Custom Headers & FlowMaster Exhaust, custom-built 700R4 tranny, Custom Moser Rear-end and Gears, Air Conditioning, LED Lighting, flush-fit tinted glass, one-piece electric door glass, shaved “everything” custom Budnick Wheels & Steering wheel and lots of Bronze Cerakote detailing. Full leather interior with German Square-weave carpeting and a “commissioned” artwork design on the wood bed with electric power-lift fuel panel.
NOTE: I have a lot more high-res images to contribute if you’re interested, let me know.
