1988 Chevy K5 Blazer – Aaron R.

My friend bought her from the original owner when we were in high school in the early 90’s. We had a lot of good times running up and down the beaches of Oregon Inlet, NC and Hatteras Island. Around 2007, he had a new GM crate engine installed and then put around 500 miles on her and let her sit. He had a stroke around 5 years ago and while I was helping him out, he mentioned to me he should just sell her, because he would never drive again. So, I ended up buying her and doing what I consider a mild restoration. She was 100% original, just rusted in the usual places. When I was a kid, I loved the GMC truck that was used in the TV show “The Fall Guy”, which is what inspired the paint scheme. She is my daily driver and her name is Joan.
