1951 Ford F3 – Mark R.

When I returned from Vietnam, a shipmate had a 1951 Ford F3 he partially restored. Sadly, he got a divorce and he didn’t want his wife’s boyfriend to have the truck. I did not have much money, so I ended up buying it for $100. That was in 1972. I used the truck as a daily driver, put a camper on it for a few years, and basically used and used it. About 9 years ago, I decided it deserved a make over. I tore it down to frame and did a complete restoration, new bed, wiring, etc., but basically restored it to original 6V, Flathead V8 and after over 50 years of driving it, it’s still my favorite!
