One day, I was driving the back road in Caldwell county and came across this truck parked in a field. A couple days later, I went back to ask the homeowner if they wanted to sell it, this was after dreaming about it. Well, the owner only asked $800 for the truck and asked if that was too much, I told her no, it belonged to her late husband and finally decided to sell it. Well, I offered her $1,000.00. She looked at me and asked if I was ok, I said yes, but I wanted to be fair. I loaded the truck and made it home. A few months pass on and I started feeling bad and found out that I had cancer. Well, years passed on and the truck was still parked. My son was, at the time, 6 years old and now he is 24. He would always ask if we were going to work on Melly, I said who is Melly, he said the truck Dad, the old lady we bought it from said her name was Melly. I don’t know how he remembered that but he did. Well, now old Melly is being put together and almost ready to drive on the streets.
