1969 Chevy C10 – Steven W.

I bought this C10 in 2009 here in the Netherlands, Europe for €1500. It had been imported from California in 1991. Most of the cab was literally rotten away because of the rain and salt in the Dutch climate; cab corners, Rocker panels, floor, A-pillars, and even the roof above the window. So, that cab was unsalvageable. Luckily, I have a childhood buddy who lives in Riverside, CA who was kind enough to send me a cab with doors, which was absolutely rust-free. Then, the rebuild began, which took us about 4 years, and to see it out of the truck shop, we went for functional instead of form. We upgraded to a 435 IMPCO mixer, so it’s running on only propane, it also has a TH700r4, so we can reach those European cruising speeds on the highway. I drive about a 1,000 miles per month in this truck and it has never let me down.
