It was bought in ’72, being one of the 600 produced as a CK20 Cab and chassis. It used a work body for 2 years, then was taken to a farm to only plow the driveway until 2004. Then, it was loaded on a truck and brought to coastal NC where it was stored in a climate-controlled garage until this 2021. I purchased it from the original owners, 64,000 original miles, and all the original papers. The owner had enough foresight to buy a bed for the truck in ’72 and it was crated and sitting next to the truck when I bought it. We broke her down, added an 8-inch lift, 35-inch tires, rebuilt the brakes, a new exhaust, and a period correct set of blazer buckets and console. We blew the truck apart and painted it U8555 Chevy black. Some new chrome from LMC and bumpers, and she draws attention and thumbs up everywhere we take her. 4;11 gears, 4 Speed and locking hubs, a mild 350 4bbl. Game on.
