1981 Chevy C10 – Chris J.
Where to begin? The beginning of course! Many years ago, I bought this truck from my Father-in-Law for $500 bucks. It was a Two-Tone ’81 C10 Scottsdale. Ol’ Green is what we called it. I was his parts runner for his shop and pulled his Lemans to the Drag Strip. A new truck was in order and that’s where I asked to buy it. It was tired, it was rusty, but it ran and it was mine! First thing we did was give it a new heart! 355 was the trick for that. Then the suspension, rear axle, some new body panels, and many other parts from LMC of course! Although we felt like we were going backwards on this build (which we were), we got it done. Donor cab from a C30, frame from a C20, Moser rear end, another upgrade to the engine with a built 383 Stroker dual quad! TMI interior, Dakota digital dash, and many more parts. All this has made this truck pretty much brand new! This truck has gone from a wheel in the salvage yard all the way into the showroom! I enjoy driving this truck to many local shows and get many looks everywhere I go with it. Thank you LMC Truck for all the help in getting all the parts I needed to make this truck dream come true!
