Dear LMC,
With most trucks, there is usually a family story that goes with them. Here is mine, I first saw this truck one day as I was walking home from elementary school and it happened to be my Dad driving by. I hop in the back and that was my first experience of taking a ride in the back of a truck. My Dad was a son of a Greek immigrant who never purchased new, always used. This truck was purchased from one of his Greek friends who owned a junk yard in Lynnwood, WA. It was a parts runner within the yard. The front end was a mix of parts from a ’65 and ’66, this would be discovered as I started my restoration project. In this truck, my Dad taught me how to drive a clutch as we drove to and from many projects. The truck has been a workhorse and has helped many family members with their own projects. After my Dad’s passing, my brother and I sold the truck to an individual who needed a truck to move. After selling the truck, we had great remorse and purchased the truck back for what we sold it for. I have such fond memories of my Dad that bringing this truck back to life is my way of honoring him; ironically he would NEVER have spent the money to do so. I plan to pass it on to my son and keep the legacy of my Dad alive. You have played a huge part in making this happen. It has been a pleasure to work with LMC and I thank you for the many parts that I purchased from LMC to support the restoration.
Sincerely,
Alex
