My grandfather bought this truck new in November of 1966.
We used it on the family blueberry farm for over 20 years.
In 1978, my grandfather sold it to my dad, where we continued using in on the farm. Only now my brother and I got to drive it to school and other places every once in a while.
In 1990, my dad parked it in the weeds behind the barn. It did not move from that spot for 18 years. Over the years, I bugged my dad about selling it to me. His response was always the same.
“Someday I am going to do something with it”
That is until he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. At which time, he gave it to me. Unfortunately, he did not live long enough to see his dad’s truck fully restored.
