My dad, James M. Crowder ordered this truck from a local small town dealership in 1971. He wanted the big block to pull our camper for vacations and weekend outings and Air Conditioning for comfort. In 1992 dad retired and was going to sell the truck, I spent a lot of my childhood memories around that truck. So I bought it, it ran fine, had some dents here and there. The next week I had it tear down to the frame. I had no idea the amount of time or money it would take to fully restored it, but I found out. After 15 years of on and off work, I got it finished in 2007. Dad and I took it to quite a few shows until he passed in 2022 at 93, he was so proud of that truck.
