My grandpa had always had a shiny, red 1952 F100 with a flare side bed. After he passed away grandma just had to sell it. So I got to go to my first real big car show to help advertise it, Good Guys 2021. One of the best days of my life. And the time was coming where I was done with drivers Ed and was looking for a vehicle. And when I saw it, I knew that it was the one. My first vehicle was a 1973 F100 with a regular cab, long bed and 4×4. The moment I drove by and saw the for sale sign I knew that it was the one. For only $2500, I got a dirty rusty piece of American history that I will cherish forever. I get some of my parts at either local parts stores, but anything they don’t have I get from LMC truck. I did my best for my first paint job and rattle canned the whole thing. Bought new 32 in master crafts, simple things like a new battery, headlights, spark plug wires and rebuilt the carb, (along with a lot of cosmetic things) but it has never once stranded me no matter how hard to start, gets me from a to b no matter how far, and will suck the money in my wallet straight to the tank.
But the best part is when the older folks from out of town crane their necks as I drive by. If you ask me there’s nothing better in the world. It’s gone a long ways, but it’s got an even longer ways to go. It may not be the prettiest piece out there, but it’s my piece. Thanks to LMC truck for getting me all of my 1973 F100 parts!
