1986 Chevy K20 – Gary G.

I was in the market for a solid K20 for about a year when I found this truck. It was a high desert truck that only had 113k on the frame and body. Before the 2nd owners passing, he had built the truck to pull his 30′ travel trailer. He upgraded the engine to a 350hp 350, dual exhaust, rebuilt the transmission, upgraded 2500 stall torque converter, transmission cooling and towing brake. Since the chassis upgrades were mostly complete, I was able to round out the chassis and suspension by adding a Shackle flip and sway bar correction kit with quick disconnects and replace all the wear items. Behind the stock front bumper is a 12k winch inverted between the frame rails. Sporting the original paint, the truck still had some curb appeal from the outside, but the interior and rubber seals needed help. LMC seal kit, sound deadener, and carpet kit turned into a complete interior restoration. The truck is as comfortable and quieter than my previous 2004 and 2005 Chevy trucks. Future plans include adding air lockers front and rear and maybe a repaint in the original red/tan color scheme.
