Having owned 13 GMT400’s with #12 and #13 still under my care and ownership, I can say that this truck is the last truck I’ll ever need. I purchased it right with a known bad engine and decided to stay 100% stock with the drive line, so NAPA provided the 5.7L long block with a 3-year 36K mile warranty. Add to that a new A/C compressor and other A/C components. Other under hood consumables like all hoses, motor mounts, serpentine belt, full service to the 4L80E as well as a fluid switch to Dex 6, etc. In 1998, there were 180,000 C/K2500’s manufactured. In 1999, when Ruby was built, a total of just 18,000 GMT400 “Classic” C/K2500’s were manufactured. Out of those 18,000 Ruby is one of just 37 to receive a special order interior. I’m the second owner and will be the last if I have anything to say about it. She’s a real work horse while looking awesome at the same time. She just turned 25 and under my care, she’ll make it to 50! I’m also the second owner to Ruby’s older Brother Clifford, the Big Red Truck, which is a 1992 Extended Cab C1500 with step side bed. LMC has been there each time when many of the 13 trucks I’ve owned needed this or that. Thank you LMC!
