Our family business is approaching 60 years this spring! My grandfather and dad always had a Squarebody or two in the fleet of our family business. So, in 2017 I wanted to restore one similar to what they used to have. I bought a 1985 c2500 that needed a lot of work, but it’s been a dream since I was kid. It’s started a whole new addiction I didn’t think could happen! I became obsessed with them. My son who was 13 at time, decided he wanted to build one for his first car! Long story short, we spent the next three years restoring both of them together. My son who is now 19, still has his ’86 short-bed and keeps improving it every year a little bit more. We got both of ours done and decided to build another one for work! We have added a 1980 3+3 and a 1958 GMC stake body to the collection. One is used as our main display at our family garden center and the dump 1980 is daily work horse! They just don’t make them like this anymore. But these trucks have brought our family together in a whole new way. We are beginning to search for my brother, wanting to build to a 1970 C10 for his daily. I’d rather spend money restoring history than buying an 80k new one! LMC catalogs are always on the coffee table. We appreciate you guys very much!
