1987 Chevy S10 – Anna L.

The story of my truck that I know about starts when my dad first bought it in 1996 as his first vehicle. After some modifications, driving it through High School and to college for a brief visit. A blown motor finally put it on the sidelines. Fast forward 22 years, as the second of four daughters, when I turned 15, I asked my dad if I could fix it up to have as my first truck. The answer was yes and so the second life of my truck began. The rebuild took about two and a half years so our hopes of me being able to drive it through my high school years didn’t quite work out. But I did at least get to drive it to my last day of High School. We learned a lot throughout the build and I was very fortunate to be able to paint the whole thing myself, while being instructed by a very kind and patient painter. All the work paid off with a best of show trophy at the last car show that I attended. I am now 18 years old and pursuing a career in the automotive painting industry thanks to this project!
