1953 Chevy 3100 – John H.

My name is John Wayne Henline. This is my 1953 half ton Chevy pickup. I purchased this truck in 2002. I retired in 2001; as a salesman I had never done any restoration work before. I did a 2-year frame-off restoration, doing most of the work myself, using many parts from LMC Truck. Later, I replaced the inline six engine with a 350 small block Chevy engine, 400 automatic transmission, added power brakes, power steering, air conditioning, bucket seats, etc. The trailer is built from a 1948 Coca Cola cooler I purchased from an antique dealer which I pull in 4th of July and Christmas parades. I am now 85 years old – this truck has given me much pleasure in the 22 years I have owned it and I still enjoy using it as a daily driver.
