I have loved old cars and trucks since before my feet could reach the pedals and square bodies have always been a favorite of mine. I wanted a project that would be fun but also be useful for a family of four. Since regular cab trucks only legally ride 3 people, I decided an 80’s Blazer or Bronco would be perfect. I found this 1983 a couple hours away and even though it had been through a few bad paint jobs, the overall condition was very original. I brought it home and started working my way through the brakes, suspension, and electrical issues to get it safe and reliable for the family. Next, it was stripped down and painted back to its original color along with interior refreshing. The original 305 engine was very tired so I opted to rebuild a 350 Vortec and swapped it out for a little horsepower upgrade. Over the past few years, the Blazer is used for weekend trips and errands. The soft top goes on every spring and hard top gets put back on for the winter months. I would like to thank LMC for making so many parts easily accessible to get this Blazer back to top shape.
