1964 Chevy C20 – Richard T.

My dad bought a new Chevy C20 Fleetside in the fall of 1963. He loved that truck and was unfortunately killed in a construction accident in 1969 when I was 16. My mom told me then that I could have it when I was 18. Well an 18-year-old kid then needs a nice car, so we sold it and I bought a 1966 Pontiac Lemans. But ever since then, I have wanted to find one like Dad’s and I just recently did just that. It’s got the 292 with a 4 speed just like his did. About the only difference is the color. Mine had been repainted at some point and is white with an orange top. Since then, I have discovered that it was originally blue with a white top just like Dad’s was! My long range plan is to have it repainted back to the original color. Mine is very straight with very little surface rust. It needs new window guides and a few other things, but it’s in very nice shape. I love it just as much as Dad did his.
