After tent camping for years, in 1977, my husband and I decided to get a truck and camper. It didn’t take long as we went to nearest Ford Dealer and there she was, a 1973 truck and 1976 Dolphin Camper. We had both shining inside and out and loaded ready to go on a three-week vacation from Mar Vista, CA along the coast to Eureka and through the Beautiful Trinity Lakes to Lake Shasta into Nevada and onto Utah, Wyoming and Montana, back down thru Idaho and Nevada to Las Vegas, where we won BIG. It was the best trip she was ever on. I have to say “To date and even having a trailer now having our truck and camper was and is the easiest camping ever” as you pull into a space, open the camper door, grab your chairs, a cold drink out of the fridge and you’re camping watching others setting up. She did have a bit of a lift with a new coat on her body a few years ago and is now working with my son as he is a handyman. So many in the neighborhood have offered to give her a new home, but her home is here with us forever. Having her for 47 years has been a lifetime for us as she has always been a Happy Camper, dependable, tough and strong as she is after all, all metal and you surely feel safe and sound out there on the roads today. Great Memories!
