1976 Chevy C10 – Jacob W.
Growing up in the 80’s, some of my fondest memories are of my grandpa and riding in his ‘77 GMC Sierra. It was a basic farm truck, 3-speed on the column, 6 cylinder motor, but it seemed like he could do anything with it… pull a trailer, haul equipment or furniture (he was also a woodworker), you name it. And it was always being “borrowed” by my dad or uncles for work they needed a truck for.
Fast forward to August 2024, my grandpa has been deceased since 1998 and that GMC of his has been long gone. But a post on FB marketplace caught the eye of myself and my brother and father… A 1976 Chevy C10 Custom Deluxe. Not a GMC, but otherwise, almost a replica of my grandpa’s old truck. Right down to the 3-speed, 6 cylinder base model and its 48 year old patina. We bought it, found LMC Truck through a friend, and, well, the rest is to come! We have a good start on restoring the interior, but we have decide to let the exterior be with its age and patina. Working together with my brother and my dad on this project has been a delight so far and has given us a reason to get together and have fun doing something fun and meaningful. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
