I’m the second owner of this truck (I bought it in 1994 after my oldest brother traded it in). From 1994 until 2003 I drove as a primary driver. I did some slight mods to it such as stereo, wheels, exhaust and just kept it clean. In the summer of 2003, it was rear ended and that when it went dark. While damage was somewhat minimal, I only got enough insurance money to get the bed painted and it being a 10 year old black paint job that had been driven and waxed on a lot, I just didn’t think a new paint job just on the bed would match with the cab and front etc. I figured I would hold on to the insurance money and save to get the rest for a complete paint job and that’s when it went into hibernation. I ended up spending the money and not saving at all and the truck sat in pieces from 2003 until 2014 and during that year I was able to get myself back on track personally and financially. The truck has 80,000 original miles on it, even has the original starter and other than maintenance items, everything is original as it came from the factory in ‘93. The interior is the same way. The truck has ended being a bit of a time capsule because of condition, mileage and hasn’t been hacked on or any big mods done to it. One could put it back to stock 1993 appearance in a weekend. The sunroof was in it when my brother bought it new. When it came time to reassemble the truck, lots of parts came from LMC I.E bolts, screws, headliner, weather stripping, etc and the list goes on…
