I bought my ’56 Cameo from Washington state. I’m the third owner of this “potentially beautiful” truck. As you can see, it needs a lot of love and care. I recently bought a property in VA. with a four-car garage that was in need of a project. This truck will be my retirement hobby/home school tech class for my two grandsons, Wesley and Henry, ages two and four. Gotta start them young. I reasoned that this would be a good learning experience for us all. I recently stood our four-year-old up on the front bumper and pointed out the engine and all the different parts. After he got down, he immediately ran over to my son and repeated verbatim everything he just learned. As you can tell, we are starting from square one as it hasn’t run since 1976 which is the date on the front Oregon license plate. It’s all original and untouched. It has a 235 straight six with a hydromatic four speed trans.. Future plans include getting it to run and stop and placing a large order from LMC. Thanks for being there for us truck restorers. Jay G.
