Meet Elizabeth, she is a 1974 F150 long bed. 2 wheel drive legacy!
She claimed me in 2018 after the sudden loss of my husband.
I drove by her everyday for weeks. It was like that first crush to the guy that didn’t know my name. Scared to death to stop and say hello. Till one day I took the turn on my way to work, and stop to say hello.
It truly was ridiculous, my heart pounding in hopes I would like her even more when I got up close and personal.
I walked up, looked in the window and under the hood and she took my breath away, wood grain, small steering wheel with an eight ball fist shifter.
390 block single Barrel carburetor and dual exhaust
It may not be much for most avid square truck lovers, but it was a slam dunk for me.
Took my savings, every bit of it and sold!
She has since driven all the way from Colorado to Southern California now residing in southern gal and has been a solid dependable carrier to four of my seven kids.
When I take her for a drive she always gets compliments and some days we just cruise together with the wrestle of her motor we hum in harmony together.
She will be in our family for years to come, and we’re coming to the time in her life to start giving her some upgrades. The Swoffer kids want to help me build her up, paint some, new wiring interior and small touch ups.
Elizabeth may be from 1976 but she is a a savior in so many ways.
