1954 Chevy 3100 – Loren S.
We live in truck country and even though I have my dad’s 1949 Chevy 4 door sedan, I still wanted an old truck to dink on and drive around like it was yesterday. My wife said I could have an old truck if it was red; so I found an orange one, drove it on and off the trailer and parked it in the equipment shed for a couple of years — you know, to see if it would ripen and turn red. Well it didn’t turn red, so I tore it down to the frame and built it back up again. I kept it all the same, only new and working — that’s where LMC Truck and I became best friends. The body was in pretty good shape, but needed TLC for the 70 years of dings, dents, and rust; this is where good friends came to my rescue and made it what it is today — “A good looking old Red Truck”. We started to call it “Old Red”, but after having to be towed home 4 times out of the first 6, we named it “Mr. Towed”. We kept the name Mr. Towed, even though we finally found the problem by replacing the fuel system one piece at a time from the tank to the carburetor, and haven’t been towed since. Thanks again to LMC.
