1987 GMC C15 – Cedric C.

I first saw this pickup in an American vehicle magazine here in France and was immediately drawn to its unique look, especially its color. The truck was located in the south of France and had just been imported from California. So, my family and I took a road trip across the country to see it and enjoy a great time in the beautiful town of Orange. A few weeks later, it was delivered to my home, complete with custom wheels I had imported as well.

What I didn’t know at the time was that the California Sundancer trim is quite rare (only ’75 long-bed versions were produced, with a total of 150 made). I’m determined to maintain its original features. Over the last 6 months, with the help of LMC Truck, I’ve completely revamped the interior, adding blue velvet upholstery, a new dashboard, and a top-of-the-line sound system. Now, I’m focusing on the electrical system and desperately searching for an original tube bumper. I want to keep it with its current patina that immediately brings to mind the Californian sun!
The truck also continues to serve as a practical utility vehicle, hauling our motorcycles and materials for home repairs, thanks to its long bed that can handle it all. This is just the beginning of a long journey with my pickup!
