“Gus” was purchased from a used car lot over the internet, which at this time, I don’t know if that is good or bad. The truck was advertised as a PRESTINE vehicle, we all know how that goes! Named GUS due to Russell fuel. I took about a month of fully checking out this “pristine vehicle” and listed all noticeable problems and approached for repair one by one. Along the way, these are problems I occurred, door panels loose and falling off, window weatherstrip missing or improperly installed, plastic mounting hole on door panel broken, hot wire back window with a toggle switch mounted in rear inside trim panel, tailgate entire wiring harness including all switches gutted and missing, all harness in rear cut loose and hanging, tag light not working, after-market radio no way of cutting on or off causing battery drain, steering loose and not tracking correctly, all interior lights not working along with under hood light, both doors out of align due to no bushing, and trans hard shift 1-2. I am sure glad I had a rare option of buying a pristine example of a 1995 Ford Bronco. I purchased a memory, had one when I was in my mid thirties. I am 70 years old and retired mechanic and was able to do all repairs myself. I get complements and quite a few looks, along with every now and then one of these later model Bronco’s passing me with eye strain. OLD GUS KEEPS ME GOING! All in all, I am enjoying the journey.
