My great grandpa bought this truck new. It has circulated through the family and eventually ended in my father’s care when he was my age (17). He sold it because my mother was pregnant with me. From what I heard from the second owner, it was a daily driver that got him to and from work everyday since he bought it off my dad. He reached out a few years ago asking if we wanted to buy it back. Mind you, I never knew about this truck before he pulled up with it to my house. I immediately fell in love and claimed it mine. I learned more about k body’s and obs Chevy’s and knew I wanted to fix all the rust from Minnesota weather and make her look like new. It has become my little project all my money goes to and I wouldn’t go back because I have learned so much. The truck means a lot to me and I wanna work on it everyday I can. It hasn’t gotten very far but a few cosmetic changes and just took the bed off to repair cab corners and rockers. I also have been cleaning up the frame and hiding parts for my truck in my dad’s upstairs garage ( he wants to charge me storage fees now ) summer of ’25 I plan to completely fix the outside and put almost all new panels on to save the truck I love. It will stay the maroon color as it’s so pretty and eventually gets a cowl hood. I can’t wait to see how far this truck comes, I learned not to rush and time will make this truck as beautiful as it was before. Thanks to LMC truck parts the build has become possible and the help from my dad pushing me to learn and build the truck he once loved that is now mine.
