Custom ordered this truck in September of 1994 from Lynn Hickey Dodge in OKC. Waited 4 months to get it because the “new” Dodge truck were is such demand there was a long waiting list. My dealer in Las Vegas couldn’t get them for a minimum of 9 months so I went to the largest dealer in the US to order my truck. Took possession of it on February 10, 1995. Flew to OKC and drove it back to Las Vegas.

This truck has not ever let me down! I ordered it with a standard transmission because I haul a lot of large horse trailers. My current trailer is 40 feet long and weighs 18,700 lbs empty! It is an LQ, 3 horse with a 15′ short wall.

Everywhere I go, I am constatnly asked if I want to sell my truck. Of course, the answer is NO! I get notes slipped under my wind shield wipers asking me if I want to sell it. “If you would like to sell this truck, please call the number below”. I always throw the note away.

Over the years, I have had to replace a variety of part that don’t last as long as the 5.9 diesel engine but I just keep telling everyone “I’m getting a new truck, “One Part At a Time!” Finding parts at times can be a bit challenging but LMC has a variety of parts for Dodge Trucks starting with year 1972! I am thrilled with the catalog! Lots of parts to choose from!

I even had it repainted 3 years ago. Living in the desert with the extreme heat can really put a strain on a paint job!

I just cannot justify getting rid of this truck for a $90,000 vehicle that is run with a computer! I do believe my “95” was the last year the Dodge trucks were built without a computer system. No computer, no DEF, all is really good!

I just love my truck and as long as I can still find the parts I need to repair it when necessary, “I WILL NEVER SELL MY TRUCK!”
