1975 Chevrolet K20 Custom Deluxe – Cal P.

In the process of restoring a factory 1975 Chevrolet K20. It has the 4 speed (SM-465) along with the 14 bolt full floating rear differential with 373 gears, limited slip. The body was pretty much rusted out but frame was straight and very low miles. It was a hunting truck.
I am replacing the 350 engine with a Blueprint Engines small block 427 with 540 HP on the dyno sheet. It will have a cowl induction hood with an Edelbrock AVS 800 CFM carburetor and MSD ignition. I am retaining the drive line, because I don’t think I can find a stronger one.
Every single metal piece on this truck will be replaced. 90% of parts from LMC shipped up to Canada. It was an original wood bed, and that is being replaced by all new from BedWood and I’ll be using pre-drilled Hickory with all stainless steel fasteners. The back factory slider will be replaced with the very dark tint available from LMC. So far, the bed has been removed, and I am continuing to restore it. The frame will be done with POR15. All new suspension components. New leafs, new Monro coil over shocks. Dakota Digital gauges. All new interior components. Basically a new truck. A LOT of work but will be worth it when done. It will have a nice bush guard with plenty of off road lights and a 12,000 lb winch mounted in the bush guard. I plan to run 3″ exhaust from the ceramic headers and Borla mufflers to exit through the back bumper. Bumper is black and so are the tips. An interesting touch. I liked how it looked on my 2020 High Country, so will go that route. All glass is being replaced by tinted glass and brand new assembled vent windows. Truck will be white. Black grille, black bush guard, black rear bumper, and black tonneau cover to protect the hydro satin finished bed wood. The last picture is the look we are going for.
