1972 Chevy C10 – Jeff C.

My old truck started its life as a dependable, but plain workhorse for PG&E. I bought it from a neighbor, put a camper shell on it, and for years, it was a reliable companion for countless camping trips. We explored Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings, national parks, the Grand Canyon and Lake Almanor. I’ve always loved working on my own vehicles, and eventually the idea to transform my truck into a hot rod took hold. The project was a lot of work, but with the help of my nephew, and parts from LMC truck, my vision came to life. The original vintage design became the foundation for a sleek, custom classic. I installed a 502 horsepower engine, a B&M transmission with a shift kit, and a 12 bolt positraction rear end. To give it an aggressive stance, l lowered it with bell tech springs and drop shackles in the back. It may no longer go on camping trips, but it’s a beautiful hot rod now, and l get compliments on it everywhere l go.
