1972 Chevy C10 – Aaron R.

Earl Wayne Rorie bought the 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne in 1994. He handed down the truck to his son, Aaron, when he was 15. Aaron promptly blew up the motor and the truck sat out in the yard, broken down and collecting dust for years. But Aaron always had a dream of getting it restored and running again. After Earl’s death in 2008, Aaron began the slow journey to get the Cheyenne back on the road. Work was slow as he rebuilt the truck in his spare time and with limited resources. Finding original parts was a challenge and rebuilding the engine by himself took many years of hard work and dedication. After several setbacks, he was able to get the body painted by a local body shop. After seeing the immaculate paint job and repairs, he knew that this truck was destined to be more than just a daily driver. So he set out to rebuild the engine again, this time as a show truck. He installed a 454 big block motor and outfitted the interior with new leather seats and vintage air and radio. The award winning truck you see today is a product of over ten years of persistent work and something Earl would be proud of.
