A Lifetime Moment Made Possible – Thank You, LMC Truck

All I can say is… thank you, good Lord! This was a lifetime moment I’ll never forget.

After years of slowly collecting parts, storing them away, and tearing the truck down piece by piece, the dream has finally come together. What started as a simple idea turned into something much bigger — something unforgettable.

When my daughter Gabby and I first started this project, we had no idea where it would take us. The truck had been sitting on our property for years — the cab was literally hanging from a tree just to keep it off the ground. The plan was always to work on it together. But as life would have it, time slipped by. Between college and visits home, we could never quite align our schedules to make progress.

Still, I never gave up on the vision. After Gabby and her fiancé announced their engagement, I knew exactly what this truck was meant to become — the perfect wedding gift. Since she lived far away, I made the decision to move the truck to another shop to get the build moving. That kicked off months of late nights, long weekends, and help from a whole lot of friends — some nights working past midnight — all to beat the deadline and get it just right.

The day of the big reveal, I gathered everyone for a speech. I talked about how “Love is blind” — which gave me the perfect excuse to blindfold the couple and lead them outside. And there it was… the truck, fully restored, gleaming in the driveway, waiting to start its next chapter with them. The moment was priceless. Tears, laughter, shock — it’s a memory that will live on in our family for generations.
