1965 Ford F250 – Jerry C.

We bought the 250 Camper Special in 1977 with 100,000 miles on it. It has an oil cooled Cruisomatic tranny, a Dana 60 4:10 differential and 15 gallon gas tanks in front of the rear wheels. In 1987 the 352 V* was replaced with a 390. It has an RV cam, Performer manifold, an AFB carb, headers, big pipes and a hot ignition. In 1997 it was painted Rangoon Red to match the original. A sprayed in bed liner and a chrome rear bumper were added. Along the way, power front disks, vintage air conditioning, upholstery and a bluetooth radio/CD player were added. The cab floor and the doors are insulated to reduce heat and noise. There is just one tiny spot of rust which is in the fresh air vent in the cab. For many years it worked hard pulling trailers and hauling loads but it shows few if any signs of wear. It gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.
