1981 Ford F150 – Eladio M.
Lost my dad in May 2025 and in his memory I wanted to restore his F-150 that he left for me, it has been abandoned for bout 19 yrs in Mexico just sitting out in a field. So I got in my truck and got a trailer to haul it back to Texas to start this journey of restoring his truck back to its glory days. I learned how to drive in that truck and once old enough it he gave it to me and one day I told myself I would bring back and drive it over here. But with work and life going on months turned to years and the truck was going to waste. My dad would always talk about restoring and bring it back to life but kept pushing and delaying this project. But when I lost my dad it’s the only thing I have left of him so I set off to start this project and I haven’t stopped since. But the whole truck was rusted from top to bottom with no idea of where to start. Till I found LMC and all its wonderful products to restore it so I started ordering floor panels and rocker panels and the outer corners of the cab so I started with that. I had been welding for about 17 yrs now so I know how to weld just never done a cab before but learning as I go. But the panels from LMC fit like original pieces which was mostly laying out and cutting and replacing so far so good thanks to LMC. I have replaced the whole floor panels on both sides and the rocker panels moving on to the other parts of the cab. Thank you LMC for being able to restore the truck and the many memories of me and my dad in his 1981 Ford F-150.
