1985 Dodge Ram – Ken G.
I bought my old 1985 Dodge Truck on January 18, 2018, and it was rough. My wife and I rode around in it as well as used if for a work truck on our land until the beginning of 2024. So leading up to Spring of 2024, I decided to begin the restoration process. I requested my LMC Truck Parts magazine and began disassembling the old truck. On April 27, 2024, I began with removing the bed, all of the interior, both front fenders, and the entire front clip of the truck. Next I took several months to go over all of the mechanical restoration (i.e., new timing chain, tune-up, all other engine components needing replacement and/or maintenance). After that, I pulled all of the wheels and hubs as well as the fuel tank. Once the mechanical was brought back to life, I had a bulletproof 318 V-8 engine with a Holley 4-barrel, headers, and dual exhaust. It also has 4-wheel drive with a 4-speed transmission. Now I shifted to the body work. It took several more months to work up the body for complete refurbishment followed by priming all body parts, the exterior and interior of the cab, and other miscellaneous parts. I then painted the truck a two tone pattern with charcoal gray and a medium gray as well. I used LMC parts for 90% of the mechanical, body, and interior restoration for the entire process. Thank you LMC! I couldn’t be more satisfied and grateful for your products, customer service, and company’s support! My old Ram’s restoration would not have had the same results without you! I completed the truck exactly one-year later on April 27, 2025.
