1986 Chevy K10 – Ryan J.

So as long as I can remember I have always loved vehicles. And as a kid growing up in the country I was always around trucks. Big trucks, lifted, clean and dirty. And not being an artist by no stretch of the imagination I always drew and colored one style truck. A Chevy square body. In my head and what I drew on paper was a lifted, fire engine red, short bed with roll bars and KC lights. The fantasy of this truck never seemed to work out making it a reality. I would either find a great solid truck but didn’t have the extra funds or when I did have some extra money nothing worth investing in.
Then on July 4th 2021 it finally happened. With the help of a coworker, I found and purchased a 1986 Silverado K10 with zero rust in phenomenal condition. I brought this truck home and slowly started turning this stock long bed 4×4 into what I have always dreamed of. So for the past 5 years
I have replaced a list of parts as long as my arm with the help of the LMC staffing, website and magazine. (The availability and fast delivery is amazing.) The next step in this truck’s transformation is to make it a short bed. Which the side bed panels, gas tank relocation setup and all hardware needed was ordered and delivered as usual within a couple days. I will attach pics of where it all started and a more up to date picture as well.
