1986 Chevy K20 -Jayden B.

I bought my 1986 Chevy K20 from my friend’s grandpa, Don, and it was one of the coolest days I can remember. The truck was old and needed some work but it was a Squarebody, and that’s exactly what I’ve always wanted. Since I was little, I wanted a “monster truck,” which now I can see I was looking at a lifted squarebody . When we went to look at it we saw it needed some work, but I saw the potential right away.

After I got the truck, my dad and I decided to fix it up together. We started by working on the body, fixing dents and making body lines straight again. Once the bodywork was done, my dad painted it, and seeing it with fresh paint made it feel like a brand-new truck. Then I decided to put new wheels on it, which completely changed how it looked and made it feel more like my dream truck. Every step took time, but working on it together made it fun and I got to learn a lot.
