1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 – Jeffrey M.

My dad bought the truck new in 1999 and drove it quite often, mostly pulling a camper. It is a Mark III edition which is loaded with leather, power seats, power windows, wood grain, mood light and much more. Dad put 75,000 miles on it and parked the truck somewhere around 2000 as him and mom drove a minivan that was easier on gas. So, the truck sat until my dad passed in 2014 and my mom gave it to me. I drove it maybe 50 miles and parked it in the garage where it’s been setting. This year 2026 I decided to get it out and back on the road. Started with fresh paint job, new tires and wheels along with engine tune up. The truck needs more love from setting most of it’s life and I hope to enjoy it for years to come in memory of my dad. I am undecided if I am going to put the running boards back on.
