1979 Chevy K10 – Bruce N.
This was my fathers truck. It was originally black in color. It would become a woods truck , plow tuck. Over the years it was just left to rot and was taken off the road. When my parent’s had to sell their home and move into an assisted living home, the truck was to be sold with the home sale. I was not in the position to take the truck due to having back surgery. The best thing was when the the person who bought the property already had a plow /woods truck. I was able to buy the truck and that’s when the resto started. It sat outside my shop for a few years until I got myself healthy . This was a father and son build. My son was 12 at the time we started and it took us almost 15 years to rebuild. i will say together its was a bonding time for us. We did the whole project chassis, body, paint, upholstery. We didn’t do the windshield that I had a glass company do here at my house . We both had a goal and that was build this for Grandpa. We finished it last year, and this spring I am signing title over to my son. This will be a wonderful moment. These couple of pictures are the before, during ,and finally completed.
