1957 Chevy 3200 – James N.
In 1956, my father was looking for a new truck as his ’50 Ford was getting a bit tired. So while shopping he discovered that not all truck makers had the 57 models out; Ford was lacking behind and tried selling their ’56 gem as a new truck. So we went to the Chevrolet lot and came home with the 3200 with black, chrome
and whitewalls plus a column shifter which both my mom and I appreciated. We traveled up the left coast from the LA. area and found the outdoors, moving to the northwest. It was the only vehicle for eight years that took him to work, hauled hay and pulled both boat and camper. Mom talked my dad into selling it to me
cheap, now I’ve had it ever since, my 1st ride from ’65 to ’26, 61 years. It contains special items from both my dad and his dad. It took me to work, the drag strip, etc. until I retired with my truck needing love. I take it or my 55 Chevy panel to as many shows as I can, with some good upgrades for my pleasure; runs on propane, 5 spd Tremec, PS,PDB, SBC original rear end! LMC Truck, the best help over the years!
